PRAYER REWIND NO.1

Hey, folks! Welcome to the prayer rewind! This is my first time doing a prayer rewind, and I thought I would make it a way to stop for a second, reflect, and pray to get the week started off right. The prayer rewind will be every other Monday, but for now, let's get started: 

So, we know that prayer is a way to connect with God and build our relationship with Him. Sometimes, it seems impossible to stay close to God and foster that relationship when we have so many other things going on in our lives. It is important to try to take time out of each day to talk to the Lord. Even five minutes. The Lord doesn't ask as much of us as we think He does. This week, try to spend some time with Him each day, and maybe use a calendar to mark off each day you work on your relationship with God. You will eventually be able to make this a routine, and you won't even notice that it's a part of your daily life. Here's a prayer from Prayers with Purpose for Women by Jackie M. Johnson:

Lord, I long to be more connected with You. Teach me to worship You as the True Source of power and love. I adore You like no other. Teach me to pray. Change me, Lord. Transform me so my prayers will be powerful and my life will be fruitful. And may all that I do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name. Amen.
