PRAYER REWIND NO. 5

Hey, y'all! Let's get started on this fifth installment in the Prayer Rewind series! I can't believe we're already at number five! How exciting!

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).'"

I love this verse, because it's so important. Jesus tells us this Himself! Not only do these words come from His own mouth, but they are also written in stone: therefore, it's pretty wise to follow by this commandment. We need to live by EVERYTHING that God tells us-and I mean EVERYTHING. We just simply can't get by in life without doing so. Here's a prayer from Prayers with Purpose for Women by Jackie M. Johnson:

Your Word is my daily nourishment, Lord. Thank You for the Bread of Life You provide every single day. Those words feed and nurture my soul just as eating bread fills me and provides the nutrition I need to live. Without Your words I will fade and die spiritually; with them I am vibrant, energized, and alive! Be my portion, Lord, as I see You. And not just Your hands and what You give but also Your face, Lord. I desire to know who You really are. [In Jesus' name. Amen.]
