ID ME: WHY BLACK HISTORY MONTH IS IMPORTANT
Hey, y'all! I'm back with another installation in the "ID: Me" series. I know some of you have been asking for a post about my planner systems, but I decided to do this post before February is over. Don't worry; that post will be up in two weeks! Let's get going:
In all honesty, I used to not really care about Black History Month. It didn't really mean anything to me, because I was young and naive. However, I have definitely become more informed about why the month celebrating my own race is important. In my opinion, it's important to recognize the beautiful hardships our race has endured throughout many generations of time-not to say that other races don't have hardships. The amount of things African Americans have been able to achieve despite the negativity surrounded by the color of their skin is impeccable. I hope all of you, no matter what race you are, are proud of your heritage and simply just what it means to be you. Celebrate your hardships and strife! God will never put anything on you that you can't bear, and I think that's what makes Black History Month so special: it's the celebration of the strength that a certain people has had to deal with for so long.
I hope you all really enjoyed this post! Remember: everyone is important, no matter the color of his skin, his cultural background, or his income. Everyone has the same ability to achieve greatness, because we're all made by God!
Have an awesome week!
