PRAYER REWIND NO.7
Hey, y'all! It feels like we should be saying "long time no see" to the prayer rewind! Just in case you have forgotten, the posting schedule is as follows: prayer rewinds and miscellaneous posts go up on alternating Mondays, and there might be multiple posts during the week. Anyway, let's get started:
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
I love this verse so much. It just resonates; it's so powerful. It appeals to our emotions, using the rhetorical device, pathos. Just think about it: by saying that God's word can penetrate ANYTHING, we understand just how powerful His word really is. It's sheer magnificence and power. I advise you to just let that marinate in your head. Here's a prayer from Prayers with Purpose for Women by Jackie M. Johnson:
Thank You for Your life-changing words that reveal the true condition of my heart. I can't hide it from You, for You already know everything. But with Your conviction comes repentance and forgiveness. You accept me as I am and give me the grace and power to make real and lasting changes in my life. The Word of God is living and active. That's why it has so much power. I give You my thoughts and attitudes and ask for healing. [In Jesus' name. Amen.]
Think about God's power this week!
